Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of Patchwork Oddments(“the Service”, “we”, “us”), a collection of web tools at patchwork-oddments.com and related domains. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and ourPrivacy Policy.

1. The Service

We provide browser-based utilities (for example language practice, text rewriting, media galleries, and image tools). Features may change, move, or shut down. Some tools require an account; others work without one. AI-powered features typically need you to supply your own API key (bring-your-own-key).

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email you control. Sign-in is primarily via a one-time magic link sent to that address (password accounts may still work if you already have one).
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email (and any password) secure.
  • We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the Service, attempt to break security, or violate these Terms.
  • You may stop using the Service at any time. Contact us (seeImprint) to request account deletion.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful activity or to infringe others’ rights.
  • Upload or share malware, spam, or content you do not have rights to process.
  • Probe, scrape, or overload the Service beyond normal use, or bypass rate limits.
  • Misuse public share links, overlay tokens, or other access credentials issued by the Service.
  • Submit others’ personal data to AI providers through the Service without a lawful basis.

4. Your content & AI keys

  • You own your content. You grant us only the rights needed to operate features you use (for example syncing a library or hosting a shared playlist you publish).
  • API keys you enter for AI tools are stored in your browser (local storage), not in our databases. Keys are sent with requests so we can proxy to the provider you chose. You are responsible for those keys and for charges from your provider.
  • When you use AI features, your prompts and related text are sent to the third-party AI provider you configure. Their terms and privacy rules apply to that processing.
  • Public shares (for example gallery playlists) may be viewable by anyone with the link until they expire or are removed.

5. Third-party services

The Service runs on Cloudflare and may call third parties (AI providers, Google Fonts, YouTube, Reddit, X/Twitter helper APIs, and sites you ask us to fetch metadata from). We are not responsible for third-party outages, content, or policies.

6. Availability & disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that AI output is accurate, appropriate, or fit for a particular purpose. Tools are utilities — not professional legal, medical, or linguistic advice.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law (including Austrian and EU consumer rules that cannot be waived), we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health where such limits are prohibited.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live. Operator details and contact are in theImprint.
